How Klavis Piano works
Klavis listens as you play
Connect a digital piano and the Klavis Piano Player reads the notes you press, following your place in the score in real time.
Powerful practice tools
Loop tricky parts, practise only one hand at a time, get automatic finger-number suggestions, and keep time with a built-in metronome.
Rich visualization
Turn on falling keys and a mini keyboard that light up as each note arrives, so you can see exactly which keys to strike and when.
See your mistakes
Wrong notes light up on the mini keyboard and are marked directly in the sheet, so you always know what to fix.
Practice at your own pace
Wait mode pauses on each note until you get it right; Play-through mode just follows along as you play, showing the right position in the sheet.
Data remains on your device
The sheet music you import and your practice data stay on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Nothing to sign up for.
How to use Klavis Piano
Import
Import any MusicXML file (.mxl, .xml, or .musicxml) from your device or choose one from the Klavis Piano Library with over 15,000 free songs.
Connect
Connect your digital piano over USB and allow MIDI access when asked.
Play
Open a song, start playing, and Klavis follows along, guiding you note by note.
Note: you need a digital piano connected over USB and a recent version of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox (Safari is not supported, as it does not allow the MIDI connection Klavis Piano needs). Your imported files and practice data are stored locally in your browser. Closing and reopening the browser will not affect your imported pieces. However, clearing your browser data will remove them. Always keep your own copies of your files. See our Privacy Policy.
